This is part of The Royal Society of Arts competition we are all competing for. if selected i get entered into the competition and stand a chance of winnning £3000 if i win, but i doubt that will happen.
anyway my brief was "design for debate" basically i need to produce an advertisment campaign that will provoke debate. The second half of the brief was to link in with infrastructure systems eg transport. We had to either take a positive or negative response regarding the future of the transport system, so i have chosen to take a negative approach.
i am going to try and give people alternatives rather then preaching to them. With a combination of typography and small images. I have also decided just to stick with 3 colours black, grey and white.
Ha ha oops, slightly embarasssing! awesome to hear your doing well though! I'm in Nz and there aren't much prospects 4 designers in this tiny island. We have Saatchi and Saatchi though in Wellington and the main guy came to a seminar and promised my uni that we were more than welcome there for internships or more, man th eguy rocks! But OMG u gota work INTENSELY hard there! I knew someone who worked there and was working constantly on only 4hrs sleep a night for over a year. I quit after that, it was too much. :S
oh i know the feeling! its not an easy business in any sense! but you just got to keep going at it! id love to work for saatchi snd saatchi that would be amazing! its an aspiration indeed! but hey we are both young still and you never know what the future holds!

Hey just had a look at your 'stop' and looks like I'm not the only one to comment on the small type Atleast I know I'm not out of line for mentioning it! I don't expect you to reply to my comment on that, I can image it would be tiring repeating yourself!
hey dont worry about it! the revised versions are already on here but that was over a year ago now! im a fully fledged designer working in london!
but thanks for commenting! its nice to know people are still looking!

What is your reason for not aligning the small text to the elongated ascender of the 'L' ? Sorry, actually just curious, it's my first year of type, I'm still trying to get a feel for it
Do you think it would have been better to use a different font for the small text, in order to catch your eye and encourage to read further? Myself I prefer to use one display font for the 'display' text, and a simple sans serif for the text used to elaborate on the statement made by the section meant to really grab your eye. Gives it a little more character, complements and emphasises each sections purpose in the design.
I'm interested to hear your view if you have time!
